Today, the world of Malayalam readership is enriched by a wide variety of magazines. The origin and history of women’s magazines, which now appear in diverse forms and styles, are subjects of great importance. This essay seeks to analyze the history and aesthetic evolution of Malayalam women’s magazines by dividing them into different phases. It lists the early women’s magazines and examines the publications of different periods, carefully analyzing the transformations that occurred at each stage. By studying elements such as the writers, readers, subscribers, cover designs, advertisements, and markets of the early women’s magazines, this paper traces and highlights the aesthetic development of women’s magazines in Malayalam from 1887 to 2015.
