From the perspective of subject matter, the thematic sky of contemporary Hindi novels is very vast. Because of the increasing tendency among novelists to make even the smallest aspects of life the main subject and write novels accordingly, the novel genre is developing day by day, and this development makes the novel a successful literary form. Today’s novelists are always aware of the life around them and are skilled in writing novels by incorporating various aspects of life. For this reason, there is great diversity in this genre. Communalism, the disintegration and clash of cultural values, ecological exploitation, globalization and commercialization, Gandhian thought, Dalit discourse, cultural and political decline, the reality of displacement, depiction of tribes, open portrayal of migrant issues, Hijra discourse, and other such diverse dimensions are embraced within this genre, which is progressing steadily toward development.
